| From the point of relations, spider provides a new “construction” concept - to build a space itself in a kind of relation while not changing the characteristics of the original space.
<<Spider>> reproduces this type of biological behavior inside the official area of a network company in Beijing without any change to the space, by four actors’ behaviors and performance of using four manners of history, society, culture, fable overlapping in four function areas of the company - meeting room, general office, manager’s office and corridor. <<Spider>> attempts the possibility of new relation between public spaces and modern arts, in overlapping and coexisting different spaces arbitrarily by transferring and replanting behavior. The different types of application produce the new meaning of space, and revise our fixed and clear opinion. <<Spider>>, among relations, makes the sense becoming“grey”. Jan. 18, 2004 |
从关系的角度看,蜘蛛提供了一种新的“建筑”理念——即在一种关系中建立自身的空间,同时也并不改变原有空间的属性,营造了一种“生态”的关系。
《蜘蛛》复制了这一生物行为的方式,在北京一家网络公司的办公场所里,对这个空间不做任何的改动,由四个表演者将历史、社会、文化、寓言的四种态度,以行为和表演的方式,重叠到这个公司的四个功能区域——会议室、办公室、经理室、走廊。 《蜘蛛》是在尝试公共空间与当代艺术之间新的关系的可能性,将不同的空间通过行为的转移与移植,强迫性的重叠与并置在一起,不同的使用方式,既带来了新的空间意义,也修正了我们固定和明确的看法。《蜘蛛》使意义在关系中变得“灰色”。 2004.1.18 |
